The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) awarded Card Boss patent No. US 12,106,334 B2 for “artificial intelligence-based system and method for grading collectible trading cards,” on Oct. 1, 2024. Card grading helps collectors assess the quality of a trading card. Its popularity continues to surge with more than 17 million cards graded in 2023, according to third-party tracker GemRate.
